I’m the mother of two wonderful boys and have been married almost 15 years to an amazing Irishman I met in a castle. Our oldest son Liam loves to read and play baseball and has recently excelled in making me lattes! Our younger son Aidan loves to giggle and socialize. Aidan has a significant developmental disability. This blog was birthed out of the desire to tell our story, and in doing so, appreciate the journey.
another wonderful post. I am so sorry your beautiful boy has to endure so much, and you have to watch him while he does. Thanks for your honesty. I’ll be honest, I find the concept of seizure terrifying, and sometimes find your posts hard to read, it makes me scared that one day one of my children may experience them too. There are so many things to be scared of, and so little assurance that we won’t be the ones to endure them. I am glad you have your heavenly father there with you in this, but man I wish he would take it all away now, on earth as it is in heaven.

Oh Hannah I really do hear that. Honestly, I get scared reading posts by mom’s whose kids have seizures way worse. It’s in our future but right now Aidan’s seizures are very brief. That’s why I posted about fear. It’s there and I try so hard not to let it consume me. I also try so hard to dwell on gratitude without brushing off honest fear. Ugh.
