Aidan was visited by a lots and lots of medical people. Every last one of them was clear and helpful. We reviewed each medical decision and felt very on board. During pre-op last month there was A LOT of discussion about his seizure med. It can only be given orally and it’s apparently new in the US. Each doctor talked about it and how they’ve consulted with neurology to keep him safe. They were prepared. They wrote on his legs and hips. Aidan was really bored and tired by the time he and Garreth went back to the OR.
So, now we have a six hour wait ahead of us. There is a harpist today in the waiting room. Such a peaceful gift of time and talent. Everyone has something to give. We’ve fueled up with coffee and food.
